Hood Canal/Kitsap/Kingston

area g mapHood Canal, Kitsap County, Poulsbo, Hansville, Kingston are all popular both for summer homes and for retirement. A short ferry away from Edmonds and Seattle, this is a great place to live. On Hood Canal, the views of the Olympics are dynamite. Two of my all-time favorite neighborhoods are here, one on Beach Drive and the other on Hood Canal Drive -- both have views to keep you home every day.

If you work in Seattle, but want to live on very inexpensive waterfront, you ought to give Bremerton a try. I'm always amazed when I look at what is available for under $250,000 on waterfront here. Probably half the cost of comparable property on Bainbridge Island. One of my favorite small towns is Poulsbo, and living with a water view there is pretty darn nice. Good shopping, a few good restaurants, and several marinas to choose from.

Bremerton also has a really nice new lakefront community called Dockside on Kitsap Lake. Be sure to check it out. I have a lakefront lot there available for just $125,000!!

The nicest 'sugar-sand' beach around can be found at Hansville, and Driftwood Keys offers 'canal' lots for those of you who want your boat right next to your house.
