The Olympia area is what I call a 'sleeper' as far as waterfront. Once you get out of the city of Olympia, Washington's capitol, there are lots of inlets and coves to explore. Commuting from Olympia is pretty easy, though commuting anywhere is not as easy as it was ten years ago. Olympia tends to be hotter in the summer and colder in the winter, too.
